On December 18th it happened again…..Santa’s Enchanted Forest at the Levy Preserve! Guests were treated to holiday sweets of ice cream, cotton candy, ginger and sugar cookies delightfully decorated, egg nog and even bush teas.  In addition to sweets, guests enjoyed scavenger hunts for children and adults, tree ornament making, and face painting. The highlight of the day was the arrival of Santa Claus who to the children’s delight, came well prepared with gifts for all and time enough to take photos.

The day also included story-time for the kids. Right before Santa’s arrival, Preserve staff shared the story of Santa’s unexpected visit to the Preserve with a cold earlier in the season.  Staff showed everyone how to make the teas they prepared for Santa and the kids sampled the fever grass tea, sweet margaret tea, and sugar apple tea for themselves.

The event was supported by student volunteers from the Key Club at Central Eleuthera High School as well as P.A Gibson Primary school’s Student of the Year. To all we say thank you, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
