After attaining the Accredited Botanic Garden award just over a year ago, the Levy Preserve adds another feather to its cap with the latest distinction issued by Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) – that of Accredited Conservation Practitioner. 

This second tier of accreditation evaluates a garden’s commitment to conservation through its leadership, its living collections and plant policy, science and horticultural initiatives and public education and sustainability.

The Preserve is the first and only botanic garden in the region to achieve such status. 

Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is a membership organization, representing botanic gardens in more than 100 countries around the world.
